Orthotics For Morton's Neuroma/Metatarsalgia
Morton's Neuroma (also known as Morton's Metatarsalgia, Morton Neuralgia, Plantar Neuroma and Intermetatarsal Neuroma) is a benign soft tissue mass which forms on the nerve which runs between the metatarsals, in the ball of the foot. When two bones are squeezed together, they pinch the nerve that runs between them.
Morton's Neuroma/Metatarsalgia is a neuroma of an intermetatarsal, most commonly of the second and third intermetatarsal spaces (between 2nd−3rd and 3rd−4th metatarsal heads).
This problem is characterised by pain and/or numbness, sometimes relieved by removing footwear.
Please note that the metatarsal lift are placed at the surgical neck of the metatarsal bone at the ball of the foot in the transverse arch in order to raise, spread and re-support your metatarsal arch. Most people think it should be located upwards to the toes. This is an older technology that does not address the neuroma or the ball of foot metatarsalgia.
Doctors Foot Labs will provide relief of pain from this syndrome by making a pair of (Custom Orthotics) specifically for your feet.
